Introduction : 世上的每个人都反叛神，抵挡神的律法。每个人都犯了神的律法。神是公义的神，他一定会刑罚犯罪的人。由于人类在神面前的罪孽极深，人类无法付上这样大的代价来偿还自己的罪债。即使人类无法偿还这罪债，等时候到了，当罪债追讨人的时候，人也无处可逃，因此人人都要在地狱里接受永远的刑罚。所以，人一出生，注定进入地狱，因为人犯了罪，抵挡神，就是那位圣洁、公义、刑罚罪恶的神。但即使这是人类要面对的现实，这也不是神想看到的结果。所以，彼得后书3：9说道：「主…不愿有一人沉沦，乃愿人人都悔改。」所以，神差耶稣基督降世，为所有人付上罪的代价，替我们这该死的人死了，担当了我们所有的罪。
所以神说，无论是男人还是女人，只要人因着接受耶稣基督，和耶稣为人所成就的救赎而相信主，这人的罪就被永远赦免了。接着，神说，不仅仅他们的罪要被洗净，他们也会有耶稣基督的神圣性情。他们成为与基督神圣性情有份的人。神就这样把救恩给了相信的人，人因此可以和主一起活在永恒里。
