究竟基督教教育是什麽？请听国际儿童事工团（Children Ministry International以下简称CMI）主任Mr. Brad Winsted从查考原文圣经对「教训」或「教导」这个词汇的定义，来瞭解基督教教育的特色、内容，以及该如何达成其目标。Mr. Brad Winsted建议采用「要理问答」来耕耘孩子的心，建立他们的信仰生命。
那麽，要理问答包括那些内容呢？上帝是谁？我怎麽知道我有永生？什麽使我们与上帝隔离？罪是怎麽来的？为什麽圣经完全无误、绝对可靠？圣经是谁写的？新旧约的差别在哪裡？称义、领养（收纳）、成圣、得荣耀是什麽意思？基督作为先知、祭司及君王的意义是什麽？主祷文六项祈求的含意是什麽？十诫是什麽？总共有154个关乎信仰的基本问答以及参考经文，都在这本「儿童要理问答」小册子裡。
总结来说，基督教教育的目标包括：(1)关注在永恒的真理；(2)人类的起源；(3)耶稣基督是人类困境的出路；(4) 生命是上帝的恩赐、是有意义的；以及(5)建造孩子们以盼望与信心，来到这位公义又全能的上帝面前。
