小儿子对父亲说：父亲，请你把我应得的家业分给我。他父亲就把产业分给他们。过了不多几日，小儿子就把他一切所有的都收拾起来，往远方去了。在那裡任意放荡，浪费资财。既耗尽了一切所有的，又遇著那地方大遭饥荒，就穷苦起来。（路15﹕12-14）
麦希真牧师简介
1930-1949 生于广州，长于香港
1949-1953 香港伯特利神学院毕业
1953-1961 第一次到东南亚1953年5月与陈永萱姐妹结婚后，8月自香港啓程赴新加坡，担任海外宣教士，成立恩典浸信会、基立浸信会、永生浸信会
1961-1965 返港考取神学硕士 M.TH，同时担任香港培正中学宗教主任
1965-1969 第二次到东南亚在马来西亚槟城浸信会神学院任教务主任，协助成立锡安浸信会、太平浸信会
1969-1973 返港任浸会学院校牧
1973-1975 赴美国西南浸信会神学院考取教牧学博士 D.Min, 并协助成立甘寳街华人教会
1975-1992 第三次到东南亚 任教于新加坡神学院，1978年任院长，至1992年退休
1992-1996 担任新加坡神学院荣誉院长，福音证主协会专职作者、多伦多 城北教会顾问牧师
1996-2001 担任世界华福中心总干事
2001-今天 担任多伦多城北教会顾问牧师，新加坡神学院荣誉院长
