Perilous Times and Perilous Men But know this, that 1 Tim. 4:1;2 Pet. 3:3;1 John 2:18; Jude 17, 18 in the last days perilous times will come:
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
2 Pet. 2:10 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
Titus 1:16 having a form of godliness but 1 Tim. 5:8 denying its power. And Matt. 23:3;2 Thess. 3:6;1 Tim. 6:5 from such people turn away!
For Matt. 23:14; Titus 1:11 of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
always learning and never able 1 Tim. 2:4 to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Ex. 7:11, 12, 22; 8:7; 9:11 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: 1 Tim. 6:5 men of corrupt minds, Rom. 1:28 disapproved concerning the faith;
but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, Ex. 7:11, 12; 8:18; 9:11 as theirs also was.
The Man of God and the Word of God Phil. 2:20, 22;1 Tim. 4:6 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me Acts 13:44–52 at Antioch, Acts 14:1–6, 19 at Iconium, Acts 14:8–20 at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And Ps. 34:19 out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Yes, and (Ps. 34:19) all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
2 Thess. 2:11 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But you must 2 Tim. 1:13; Titus 1:9 continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
and that from childhood you have known Ps. 119:97–104; John 5:39 the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(2 Pet. 1:20) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, Rom. 4:23; 15:4 and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
1 Tim. 6:11 that the man of God may be complete, 2 Tim. 2:21; Heb. 13:21 thoroughly equipped for every good work.
