在帮助年轻弟兄姊妹的时候，我们常常做两件事情。一是每天抄一篇箴言：教导我们属神的孩子，该怎么有属天的眼光的看待与处理地上人与人之间非常复杂的关系。第二件就是鼓励他们背诗篇。诗篇最能帮助我们认识自己，这样就可以帮助我们更多认识神。当对神的认识一天天加深时，我们和神才有能有亲密的关系。
时常有人说一些属灵的高调：要等候神，要亲近神。大家都知道应该做，只是不会做。一个人能够和神有好的关系，不是靠情感凭感觉，是建立在对自己有真实的认识。越知道自己里面真实的光景，就越宝贝神在我们身上的恩典，越会惊讶：像我这样的人神怎么可能会爱我，一直住在我的里面不离不弃，神怎么还会忍受我。
而太多的时候 因为我们不认识祂，跟主距离太远，所以常常跟祂无话可说。读诗篇可以帮助我们发现祂的圣洁、慈爱、奇妙...诗篇23篇大家都很熟悉，但是不一定默想过它，借着刘志雄长老的这篇分享，帮助引导我们学会默想诗篇(23篇)，使我们更多认识自己，更多体会耶稣基督的心肠。
